Robert Bullard's Environmental Justice Talk

The talk about environmental justice was good. it reminds me that their are people who really care, and are smart enough to do something about some of the trials facing us. It is to bad the government and private companies like to build their landfills on predominantly black territory. It reminds me of schools that don't have enough money for technology. Chances are these communities being dumped on are also the ones without technology. It is too bad. Thanks to the efforts of men like Dr. Robert Bullard efforts are being made to correct this mis-justice. Collecting data is step one. Perhaps fighting for the rights/health of the people of this country in the courts is step two. Thank you Robert Bullard.

  1. Hey Noah, This is a pretty brief review of the ideas. I was impressed by his voluminous data sets. One of the things I wonder about is how the governments and communities are able to make the decision to locate landfills, chemical plants, etc where they do. is it conscious or unconscious decision-making? Is the land less expensive? Is there less resistance? As you were listening, did you hear a role for yourself in the resistance?

    1. Maybe to brainstorm ideas and continue to work on myself so I can help in the future.
