Identity Poetics : Race, Class, and the Lesbian-Feminist Roots of Queer Theory

The purpose of this work is to bridge the gap between queer theory and the lesbian feminist ideology.
Apparently the people who champion queer theory find the lesbian feminists to be outdated and believe that this way of thinking will end.
The author believes that their is common ground between the two. By showing that the two can work together she hopes to bring light to the struggles of both and hopefully end this discrimination between two groups that could be working together.
