Dante and Aristotle

I started my book today. It is good. It involves a Mexican boy who's dad is a vet. He goes to the pool and meets a boy, Dante, who offers to teach him how to swim. Dante knows what he's doing and Aristotle is quick to like him. They talk about books and comics. Aristotle on Dantes advice reads his dads favorite book. They ride the bus, Dante is observant and spots someone having an affair. I think they will become good friends. I imagine the author will incorporate LGBTQ themes later in the book.

Problem: I had some trouble with editing software. I had all my images pre-loaded but could not figure out how to put them into the video. i wanted them to go hand in hand with the video. i wanted the video to play and have certain images in the video as well. I like my poem. i think this project was a good idea. Edited: My new video came out rather choppy because of the video software I used. It is Movie Zilla. It was the only one that could do what I wanted to do. Unfortunately Movie Maker is no longer offered and I don't hav...

Finished

I just finished Love Simon and it was good. This book reminded me that LGBTQ is a way of life. I enjoyed the comedy and storytelling. Simon's change as a character was interesting to witness. I didn't like how blunt Simon was. To unpack it I found Love Simon to be a good book. It taught me about romance.

Mini-lesson reflection

I believe students learned what was expected of them. I would have liked for the lesson to include answers to some questions such as can you make the questions anonymous. I found leading the lesson was cool. It taught me about Edmodo and my classmates. I am glad I got to lead a lesson. Some of my classmates had an understanding of Edmodo before the lesson. I feel like Edmodo is a strong app that is good for classrooms. I hope my classmates have learned enough to use the app in their classrooms. Based on my poll most of my classmates learned from the lesson.
